Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup (226 g) unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup (200 g) brown sugar
- 1/2 cup (100 g) granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 cups (360 g) all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups (340 g) chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup (60 g) chopped nuts (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, ensuring each is fully incorporated before adding the next. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon (if using). Gradually blend this dry mixture into your wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips and nuts, if desired, making sure they are evenly distributed.
- Drop rounded tablespoonfuls of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, leaving space for spreading.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown and the centers look set but slightly soft.
- Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring them to wire racks to cool completely. Enjoy your cozy treats!
