- 2 cups pecans
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Combine the melted butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, salt, and vanilla extract in a mixing bowl. Stir until well blended.
- Add the pecans to the bowl and mix until they are fully coated in the sugary spice mixture.
- Spread the pecans in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
- Toast the pecans in the oven for about 10-12 minutes, stirring halfway through to ensure they brown evenly.
- Remove the pecans from the oven and let them cool completely. They will become crispier as they cool.
Notes
Watch the oven closely; nuts can go from perfectly toasted to burnt quickly. Store in an airtight container to keep them crunchy.
