2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled
1β2 tablespoons sugar (optional, depending on sweetness preference)
1 tablespoon lemon juice (optional, for added tang)

- Wash the strawberries thoroughly and remove the hulls (green tops).
- Place the strawberries in a blender or food processor.
- Add sugar and lemon juice if using.
- Blend until smooth, scraping down the sides as needed.
- Taste and adjust sweetness if needed by adding more sugar.
- Pour the puree into a container, and refrigerate if not using immediately. It can also be frozen for long-term storage.
Notes
For a smoother puree, strain it through a fine mesh sieve to remove any seeds.
You can freeze the puree in ice cube trays for easy portioning and later use.
