  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 3 tablespoons granulated sugar (for rolling)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Set this mixture aside.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually mix in the dry ingredients until combined.
  6. In a small bowl, combine the 3 tablespoons of sugar and 1 tablespoon of cinnamon.
  7. Roll the dough into balls and then roll each ball in the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  8. Place the rolled dough on a baking sheet and bake for 8 to 10 minutes, or until the edges are lightly browned.
  9. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
