Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 200°F (90°C).
- In a large bowl, mix together the flour and salt until well combined.
- Gradually add water while stirring until a dough forms. If you want colored ornaments, add food coloring to the mixture.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface until it is smooth and pliable.
- Roll out the dough to about 1/4 inch thick.
- Use cookie cutters or your hands to shape the ornaments as you like.
- Make a print in the dough using your thumb or finger.
- Place the ornaments on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 2-3 hours until the ornaments are hard.
- Allow them to cool completely before decorating as you wish.
Notes
Store ornaments in a dry, cool place to maintain their quality. They can be further customized with paint or glitter after baking.
