Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a madeleine pan.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another large bowl, combine melted butter and sugar, then mix in eggs, vanilla, and red food coloring.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and mix until just combined.
  5. Spoon the batter into the madeleine pan and bake for 10–12 minutes.
  6. While the cookies cool, prepare the glaze by mixing cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.
  7. Dip the cooled madeleines in the cream cheese glaze and decorate with sprinkles.
  8. Let the glaze set before serving.
