Ingredients
Scale
12 oz fettuccine pasta
2 chicken breasts (or 4 sausages, or 1 lb shrimp)
2 jalapeños (chopped)
1 tsp cayenne pepper
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup Parmesan cheese (grated)
2 garlic cloves (minced)
2 tbsp olive oil
Salt and pepper (to taste)
Instructions
- Boil a large pot of salted water and cook the fettuccine pasta according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the chicken (or your protein choice) and cook until browned and cooked through, about 7-10 minutes. Remove the protein and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and chopped jalapeños. Sauté for 2 minutes, until fragrant and softened.
- Pour in the heavy cream, stirring to combine, and bring the mixture to a simmer. Add cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper to taste. Let the sauce thicken for about 3-5 minutes.
- Return the cooked chicken (or your protein choice) to the skillet. Add the cooked pasta and toss everything together until well coated in the creamy sauce.
- Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese on top and give it one last toss to incorporate. Serve hot and enjoy!
Notes
To make the sauce richer, you can add more Parmesan cheese or a splash of milk or cream.
