Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cups elbow macaroni
- 4 cups beef broth
- 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tablespoon ketchup
- 1 tablespoon mustard
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Brown the ground beef and onion in a large pot over medium heat until the beef is cooked through. Drain excess fat.
- Add the elbow macaroni, beef broth, ketchup, mustard, salt, and pepper to the pot. Stir to combine.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer until the pasta is tender and most of the liquid is absorbed, about 10-12 minutes.
- Stir in the milk and cheddar cheese until the cheese is melted and everything is well combined.
- Serve warm and enjoy your comforting meal!
Notes
For extra flavors, add cooked bacon or swap the beef for ground turkey. Use sharp cheddar for a more robust taste.
