- 1 medium spaghetti squash, halved and seeds removed
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or a blend)
- 1/2 cup heavy cream or cream substitute
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh herbs for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Roast the spaghetti squash by placing it cut-side down on a baking sheet for 30-40 minutes or until tender. Let it cool slightly, then scrape out the strands with a fork.
- In a large bowl, combine shredded cheese, heavy cream, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Stir until well combined.
- Add the spaghetti squash strands to the cheese mixture and mix until evenly coated.
- Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish and smooth the top.
- Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese evenly over the top.
- Bake for an additional 10-15 minutes or until the top is golden and bubbly.
Notes
Roasting the squash enhances its natural sweetness and flavor. Experiment with different cheeses and garnish with fresh herbs for added freshness.
