- 1 cup All-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp Baking powder
- 1/4 tsp Salt
- 1/2 cup Unsalted butter, melted
- 2/3 cup Sugar
- 3 large Eggs
- 1 tsp Vanilla extract
- 1 cup Diced strawberries
- Powdered sugar (to dust)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a madeleine pan.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, beat melted butter and sugar until pale, then add eggs one at a time, mixing well. Stir in vanilla.
- Gradually fold in the flour mixture and then gently fold in the strawberries.
- Spoon batter into the prepared madeleine pan, filling each mold 3/4 full.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until golden and springy to the touch.
- Let cool and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
Notes
Best enjoyed the day they are baked but can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
