  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Flaky sea salt for topping

Instructions

  1. Cream the butter and sugar in a mixing bowl until light and fluffy.
  2. Add the vanilla extract and mix to combine thoroughly.
  3. Sift together the flour, sea salt, and baking powder in a separate bowl.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter-sugar mixture, stirring until just combined.
  5. Shape the dough into small balls, about 1 tablespoon each, and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Press each cookie slightly to flatten and sprinkle a little flaky sea salt on top.
  7. Chill the cookies in the fridge for about 15 minutes before baking.
  8. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake the cookies for 12-15 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
  9. Let them cool on a wire rack and enjoy your delicious cookies!

Notes

Use room temperature butter for the best mixing results. Don’t skip chilling the dough for better cookie shape.
