- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Flaky sea salt for topping
Instructions
- Cream the butter and sugar in a mixing bowl until light and fluffy.
- Add the vanilla extract and mix to combine thoroughly.
- Sift together the flour, sea salt, and baking powder in a separate bowl.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter-sugar mixture, stirring until just combined.
- Shape the dough into small balls, about 1 tablespoon each, and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Press each cookie slightly to flatten and sprinkle a little flaky sea salt on top.
- Chill the cookies in the fridge for about 15 minutes before baking.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake the cookies for 12-15 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
- Let them cool on a wire rack and enjoy your delicious cookies!
Notes
Use room temperature butter for the best mixing results. Don’t skip chilling the dough for better cookie shape.
