- 6 cups (180 g) Rice Chex cereal
- 1 cup (120 g) powdered sugar
- 1 cup (240 ml) caramel sauce
- 1/2 cup (125 g) creamy peanut butter
- 1/2 teaspoon (2 g) vanilla extract
- 1 cup (150 g) dried apple pieces
- 1/2 cup (90 g) chocolate chips
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine Rice Chex cereal and dried apple pieces. Stir gently to mix.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, mix together caramel sauce, creamy peanut butter, and vanilla extract. Heat in the microwave at 30-second intervals, stirring until melted and smooth (about 1-2 minutes total).
- Pour the caramel mixture over the cereal and dried apples. Stir gently until everything is well coated.
- Transfer the mixture to a large zip-top bag or bowl. Add powdered sugar, seal the bag, and shake until evenly coated.
- Gently fold in chocolate chips.
- Serve immediately or store in an airtight container to keep it fresh.
Notes
Can be made up to a week in advance. Store in a resealable bag or container for transport.
