Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup almond butter, unsweetened
- 1/2 cup maple syrup
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder, unsweetened
- 1/2 cup coconut sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup vegan chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- Mix the almond butter and maple syrup in a large mixing bowl until well combined.
- Sift in the cocoa powder, coconut sugar, baking soda, and salt, then stir until everything is blended together.
- Add the vanilla extract and mix again; the batter should be thick and fudgy.
- Fold in the vegan chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
- Spread the batter in the prepared baking pan, smoothing it into an even layer.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the top looks set and a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let them cool in the pan for at least 10 minutes before slicing into squares.
Notes
Don’t overbake to preserve that fudgy texture. You can soften the almond butter in the microwave if necessary.
